Nature's weatherproof technology
Developed during WWII for RAF pilots exposed to the North Sea, Ventile® is a tightly woven cotton engineered to protect against extreme weather. Its reputation was sealed in 1953, when it was chosen for the first ascent of Everest, then later for polar and transcontinental expeditions.
Unlike synthetic outerwear that traps moisture, Ventile relies on a natural principle: when exposed to rain, its fibers swell, increasing density and resistance to water while remaining breathable. A weatherproof fabric designed by nature, not chemistry.
Seven generations ahead
We design our garments with a simple question in mind: what will remain long after they are worn?
Inspired by the principle of the seventh generation, every decision is made by considering its long-term consequences, not just immediate performance or comfort.
This approach guides our choice of materials, our manufacturing standards, and our refusal of synthetic shortcuts. Only natural fibers, selected for durability, recyclability, and their ability to return to nature without leaving a trace.
A wardrobe designed to endure in use, and disappear responsibly over time.
